AI SEO, AEO & GEO Agency

Search split into three. People still Google, but they also ask answer engines and read AI-written answers. Edthi runs SEO, AEO and GEO as one program so you show up in all three — and we measure each.

SEO gets you ranked. AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) gets you named when someone asks an assistant for the best option. GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) gets you cited inside the answer the model writes. Most agencies still only do the first. Edthi runs all three together, because your buyers move between a Google results page, an AI assistant and an AI Overview without thinking about which is which.

Three jobs, one program

Each layer needs its own work, but they reinforce each other. Ranking well on Google makes an AI more likely to find and cite you; being cited by AI drives the branded search that lifts your rankings.

  • SEO: the technical and content foundation that still earns Google rankings and trust.
  • AEO: structured answers and entity markup so assistants name you when buyers ask for the best tool.
  • GEO: citable, current content and off-site trust so generative answers quote you.
  • One entity across all of it — a single, consistent description of who you are.
  • Clean crawl access for both classic search bots and AI crawlers.
  • Per-query measurement across Google, AEO and generative answers — reported together.

All three layers measured against agreed targets, in one place.

The work, in detail

  1. 01

    AI crawler access

Check and open access for GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot and Google-Extended, so your pages can be read and cited.

  2. 02

    Answer blocks

Put the direct answer to each buyer question in a clean, self-contained block a model can lift without rewriting.

  3. 03

    Schema that matches the page

Organization, Service, FAQ, Article and Breadcrumb markup that says what the page actually is.

  4. 04

    llms.txt

A plain map of your most important pages so language models find the right source first.

  5. 05

    One brand entity

The same name, description and facts on your site, Wikidata, Crunchbase, G2 and directories — models cross-check these.

  6. 06

    Original data

Publish your own numbers, tests and benchmarks. A model needs a reason to cite you instead of a competitor.

  7. 07

    Prompt and fan-out mapping

Track the questions buyers ask and the follow-ups the AI generates on its own, then cover them before competitors do.

  8. 08

    Bing and Copilot

Bing's index feeds Copilot and parts of ChatGPT search, so we submit, verify and fix it — not just Google.

  9. 09

    Third-party citations

Get named on the lists, directories, reviews and threads AI engines actually pull from: Clutch, G2, industry roundups, Reddit and LinkedIn.

  10. 10

    Competitor source analysis

See which URLs the engines cite for your prompts today, and work out how to earn a place among them.

  11. 11

    Freshness

Update key pages on a schedule with visible dates, because engines favour sources that are current.

  12. 12

    Share-of-voice tracking

Ask the engines your buyer prompts every week and record who gets named — you, competitors, or no one.

What happens month by month

Weeks 1–2

Agree the buyer prompts, benchmark ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot and AI Overviews, and fix crawler access and schema.

Month 1–2

Rewrite the pages that should win, build answer blocks, align the brand entity across the web, set up weekly tracking.

Month 3 onward

Most of the effort moves off-site: earning mentions on the sources AI cites, publishing original data, refreshing what's already working.

Every week

A short report: prompts tracked, where you're named, what changed, what we're doing next.

Why Edthi

Running SEO, AEO and GEO separately wastes effort — the same entity work, content and citations feed all three. We run them as one program and measure them as one.

  • One team, one program, one report — not three vendors pulling in different directions.
  • Targets agreed up front and reported against weekly.
  • Our guarantee is a performance commitment — targets agreed on day one, and we keep working until they're met — not a promise of a fixed spot in an AI answer.
  • Agentic content engine built for US and other high-value markets.

Questions buyers ask

What's the difference between SEO, AEO and GEO?

SEO ranks a page in Google's results. AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) gets your brand named when someone asks an AI assistant for a recommendation. GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) gets your brand cited inside the answer a model generates. They overlap, and the strongest results come from doing all three together.

Do I need all three?

If your buyers only ever used Google, SEO alone might do. But most now move between Google, AI assistants and AI Overviews in the same research session. Covering only one layer means being invisible in the others. The entity and content work is largely shared, so doing all three is more efficient than it sounds.

Can you guarantee rankings or AI mentions?

We guarantee the commitment, not a specific placement: targets agreed up front, and we keep working until they're met. Nobody controls Google rankings or AI answers directly. We measure where you stand, do the work that credibly improves it, and report the movement against targets we set with you.

How is this measured?

We track classic rankings in search consoles, and we sample answer engines and generative tools directly for your buyer questions — recording whether and how often you're named. It all goes into one weekly report.

Is GEO just SEO with a new label?

Partly, and anyone who says otherwise is overselling. Good SEO is still the base — engines often cite pages that already rank. What GEO adds is work SEO usually skips: writing answers a model can quote, keeping your brand facts consistent across the web, earning mentions on the third-party sources AI trusts, and measuring whether you're actually named. If an agency only rebrands an SEO retainer and publishes more blogs, that isn't GEO.

What does a GEO agency actually do each month?

The first one to two months are foundation: crawler access, schema, rewriting key pages and setting up prompt tracking. After that, most of the work is off-site — getting your brand cited on the lists, reviews and discussions engines pull from — plus publishing original data and refreshing pages. You should get a weekly view of which prompts name you.

How do you prove it's working?

We record a baseline of your buyer prompts across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot and Google AI Overviews before we start, then re-run the same prompts every week. You see the mentions, the competitors named alongside you, and the sources cited — not a vague visibility score.
