SEO
Rank on Google
Blue links, snippets and maps — and the base layer AI reads from.
AEO
Named by assistants
Cited in the answers ChatGPT, Perplexity and Copilot give.
GEO
Synthesised by AI
The source Google AI Overviews and Gemini build their answer from.
One shared foundation: crawlable, structured, trustworthy content — run as a single program.
Buyers in Sydney and Australia increasingly ask an AI assistant who to use before they run a search or fill in a form. Edthi's AI Visibility program gets your Sydney business named in those answers and ranked on Google, run as one program. Edthi works with companies across Australia and the Asia-Pacific region.
Why AI visibility matters for a Sydney business
Sydney is Australia's largest technology and finance market, and English-speaking buyers there adopt AI tools early. More of their vendor research runs through AI assistants every quarter. Australia's AI-search market is less contested than the US or UK, so the window to claim ground is open.
SEO, AEO and GEO — what each one actually means
- [SEO](/products/visibility/seo) (Search Engine Optimization) — ranking in Google's blue links, featured snippets and map pack. Still the largest single channel, and the base layer everything else reads from.
- [AEO](/products/visibility/aeo) (Answer Engine Optimization) — being named in the answer an AI assistant gives: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Microsoft Copilot. The buyer may never see a list of links at all.
- [GEO](/products/visibility/geo) (Generative Engine Optimization) — being the source a generative engine synthesises from: Google's AI Overviews, Gemini, the AI layer inside search.
They share a foundation — crawlable, structured, trustworthy content — but each needs its own moves on top. Run as one program, a single piece of work can pay off in all three places. That is exactly how AI Visibility from Edthi is built.
What the program looks like
- 1We measure where you show up today across Google and the AI engines, and agree the targets with you.
- 2We fix the technical foundation: schema, crawlable pages, and open access for AI crawlers.
- 3We publish answer-shaped content for the questions your buyers actually ask.
- 4We track citations and rankings per query, every week, against your day-one baseline.
How you'll know it's working
- Share of AI voice — how often you're named in AI answers for your priority topics, tracked over time.
- Citations per prompt — which assistants cite you for which questions, and where you're still missing.
- Rankings, clicks and impressions — classic search performance, per query, from Search Console.
- Everything against a day-one baseline — so a lift is a real delta, reported weekly, not a snapshot.

Frequently asked questions
- Do you work with businesses in Sydney?
- Yes. Edthi runs AI Visibility programs (SEO, AEO and GEO) for companies in Sydney and Australia and beyond. Edthi works with companies across Australia and the Asia-Pacific region.
- Is AEO or GEO different in Sydney than anywhere else?
- The AI engines are global, so being cited in an answer works the same way everywhere. What's local is classic and map-pack SEO, plus the specific competitors and questions in your market. We handle both.
- What's the difference between SEO, AEO and GEO?
- SEO gets you ranking in Google's links. AEO gets you named in the answer an AI assistant (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Copilot) gives. GEO gets you cited in the answer a generative engine (Google AI Overviews, Gemini) synthesises. They share a foundation but each needs its own moves — which is why we run them as one program.
- Do I still need traditional SEO if AI search is taking over?
- Yes — more than ever. AI engines are trained on and cite the open web, and many draw directly from the pages that already rank. Weak SEO now keeps you out of the AI answers too, so it's the base layer, not an alternative.
- How long until AI visibility in Sydney shows results?
- Technical fixes and new content can start moving rankings in weeks; a measurable lift in AI citations and priority rankings is typically a ~90-day target, compounding from there. We set the targets against your baseline on day one and report weekly.
